No it works with road bikes, mountain bikes weighing less that 40lbs, and kids’ bikes. It is not meant for heavy bikes or electric bikes weighing more than 40lbs.
No it is for SUV’s with sufficient clearance only. The clearance is the height from the back of the seatback to the ceiling of your SUV
You must measure the clearance of your vehicle before purchasing. The height from the bike’s dropouts to the highest point of the handlebars or stem plus 1.5 inches is the clearance you will need inside your SUV.
Yes, if your seatbacks allow enough width. All bikes are different, and all SUV’s are different. If you have 2 bikes with extra wide handlebars, you may to need roll down windows to allow for the handlebars to stick out of the window during transport.
Most modern bikes have a quick release skewer that holds the wheel to the fork. The BikeBuckle™ has one on it and this is what you use to attach your bike to the BikeBuckle™.
Sometimes yes. The seat-post may need to be taken out to allow for clearance of the SUV’s ceiling. It all depends on your bike, and your SUV’s clearance. Most modern bikes have a quick release seat-post.
You must move the BikeBuckle™ higher up on the seatback, (away from the tailgate) and then use your vehicles tie down rings and a ratcheting style tie down to secure your bike’s rear tire. One is available for purchase on the website if you do not have one. If your vehicle does not have tie down rings, the tire must be closed on the tire to be stable.
